1. Responsibility for your information
This notice is for visitors and customers of Luna Locksmith Barnes. It describes the handling of personal information through www.lunalocksmithbarnes.co.uk and in connection with locksmith enquiries. “Luna”, “we” and “us” refer to the business using the Luna Locksmith Barnes name. We determine how customer and enquiry information is used for our business purposes.
Our privacy contact is info@lunalocksmithbarnes.co.uk. You can also telephone 020 8087 1035 or write to Luna Locksmith Barnes, 35a Barnes High St, London SW13 9LP. Please identify the enquiry or record concerned, without sending more personal information than necessary. This notice covers our handling of information; external providers have their own responsibilities and notices for their services.
2. Information we receive
Details supplied in an enquiry
The form on this site asks for a name and telephone number as required fields. It also provides fields for an email address, the service required and a written enquiry. A message may include a postcode, property address, door or window description and information about the fault. The form includes human verification. If required information or verification is missing, it may not be possible to send it.
Calling or emailing can provide similar contact and job details, together with the contents of subsequent correspondence. If a visit is arranged, relevant records may include the service location, access arrangements, the person approving the work, the agreed scope, charges and follow-up matters. Only provide information needed for the enquiry. Do not enter payment-card details, passwords, alarm codes or unnecessary identity documents into this general form.
Details about other people
A landlord, occupier, agent or business representative may contact us for someone else. We may then receive the relevant person’s name, contact details and role in the job. Make sure you are entitled to share that information, and make this notice available to the person where appropriate. Authority to approve access or a lock change may need to be established separately from the initial enquiry.
Technical information
When a browser requests a page or an embedded service, the receiving provider can obtain the IP address, request time, browser information and details of the resource requested. Our form includes a Jotform page-source widget that can obtain the URL of the page containing it. That information can identify which page an enquiry came from. Human-verification services can process further technical signals to help detect automated use.
Our own code saves a timestamp when the cookie information notice is acknowledged. It does not put form answers into that preference. The website has no customer login or payment checkout and adds no separate analytics or advertising script. External services may have additional processing, described below and in the cookie policy.
3. Uses of information and lawful bases
Information is used for the purpose relevant to your interaction. The lawful basis is selected for that purpose, rather than treating every visit or enquiry as consent.
| Purpose | Information involved | Relevant basis |
|---|---|---|
| Responding to a requested quote or proposed job | Contact details, property information, requested service and messages | Taking steps at your request before a contract; legitimate interests where replying to a general enquiry or an organisation’s representative is not covered by that basis |
| Organising and carrying out agreed services | Job and contact details, approvals, arrangements and agreed charges | Performance of a contract with you, or legitimate interests in coordinating an authorised representative where applicable |
| Required record keeping and responding to valid legal requests | The records relevant to the particular requirement | Legal obligation where a duty applies |
| Resolving complaints, handling claims and protecting services | Relevant correspondence, job information and security records | Legitimate interests in managing disputes and preventing misuse; legal obligation where applicable |
Our legitimate interests include answering business enquiries, coordinating work with the appropriate person, addressing problems and protecting the service against abuse. Reliance on those interests requires consideration of the impact on you and your reasonable expectations. You can object, as explained below.
If a separate activity requires consent, that consent needs to be requested for the activity concerned and can be withdrawn. Sending a locksmith enquiry is not permission to enrol you in unrelated marketing. The “Got it” button on our cookie notice is not consent to optional cookies.
You do not have to send an enquiry to read the website. Without sufficient contact and job details, we may be unable to reply, prepare a useful quote or arrange the requested work. The site does not make automated decisions about service eligibility, issue an automatic final quote or accept a booking without further agreement.
4. The form, verification and map
Jotform
Our supplied enquiry form is Jotform form 262661331050345. Its script is included directly on the home, about, contact, quote, services and location pages. The browser connects to Jotform and its delivery services when the form loads, before any submission and independently of the cookie notice. Submitted information is processed through Jotform and the enquiry workflow configured for that form.
The form uses the page-source feature mentioned above and supporting functions for display, input validation and submission. Jotform’s privacy policy explains its handling of form responses and other information. Contact Luna about the use or deletion of a particular enquiry rather than assuming the provider can decide our business purpose.
Google reCAPTCHA
The public form includes Google reCAPTCHA to help distinguish human enquiries from automated abuse. Google may process browser and other technical signals when that feature operates. Completing verification may be required for submission. See Google’s reCAPTCHA information, privacy policy and terms.
Google Maps
The contact page embeds the supplied Luna Locksmith Barnes Google Maps listing. Its loading may be deferred by the browser until the map approaches the visible page area. It does not wait for acknowledgement of the cookie notice. Once loaded, the request and related technical information are received by Google; account and browser settings may affect that interaction. Following the map link takes you to Google’s service.
Other recipients
Information may be available to people authorised to handle enquiries, arrange services and carry out the work, and to providers supporting hosting, email, forms and administration. A relevant record may also be disclosed to advisers, insurers or authorities when needed for a specific claim, obligation or dispute. Access and sharing should be limited to information relevant to that purpose.
The website does not publish your form response for other visitors to read. Ask us if you want details of the recipients relevant to a particular enquiry or job. Services reached through external links have their own information-handling arrangements.
Processing outside the United Kingdom
Service providers can use infrastructure or support resources in other countries. The applicable location and safeguards depend on the provider and account configuration. Where a restricted international transfer is made on our behalf, an appropriate mechanism is required, such as an applicable adequacy arrangement or approved contractual protection. Contact us to ask about the arrangements relevant to your information and how to obtain details of applicable safeguards. This policy does not promise UK-only processing.
5. Retention and security
There is no single retention period that fits every record. The purpose, status of the enquiry and applicable obligations determine how long information is needed. The following criteria describe that approach.
| Record type | Retention considerations |
|---|---|
| An enquiry or unaccepted quote | Time needed to answer, deal with reasonable follow-up and resolve outstanding questions; whether a continuing purpose remains |
| Completed or ongoing work | Service delivery, relevant follow-up, applicable accounting duties and a proportionate period for handling claims |
| Complaints and rights requests | Resolution, documenting the outcome and any legal requirement to retain relevant material |
| Provider logs and form records | Provider practices, account settings and the purpose of the record; enquire about a specific submission where needed |
| Notice acknowledgement | A local timestamp recognised for 180 days, removed on a later visit when it has expired |
Information should be reviewed and removed or anonymised when the relevant need ends. A live dispute or legal requirement can justify keeping the necessary records longer. Provider backups may have their own deletion cycles. Contact us for the retention criteria applied to information about you.
Access should be limited to authorised people and providers with a relevant purpose. No internet service can guarantee complete security. If you accidentally submit confidential access information, tell us promptly without repeating it unnecessarily. Keep general form messages focused on the nature of the job.
6. Your choices, rights and complaints
Subject to the conditions that apply to each right, you can ask for access to your personal information, correction of errors, erasure, restriction of processing or a portable copy where portability applies. If consent is the basis for processing, you may withdraw it without making earlier processing unlawful.
The right to object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, explaining your circumstances. The objection must be considered alongside any lawful grounds for continuing. You may object to direct marketing at any time. The cookie notice does not remove these rights.
Send requests to info@lunalocksmithbarnes.co.uk or use the postal contact in section 1. Include enough information to locate the relevant record. We may need proportionate identity information or clarification before responding. We will explain any applicable reason why a request cannot be met in full or why more time is needed.
You can raise a privacy concern directly with Luna. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office without obtaining our permission. The ICO complaints service provides current contact options and guidance.
7. Children, links and policy changes
This website is intended for people enquiring about property services and is not designed to collect information from children. If you believe a child’s information was submitted unintentionally, contact us so the matter can be considered.
Provider websites and services linked from this notice operate under their own policies. Features and account arrangements can change, so this notice may be updated to reflect changes in the site or our handling of information. The date at the top identifies this version. Read the Cookie Policy for the notice preference, third-party integrations and browser controls.
